She bought them immediately and then had them recovered in a nice rose petal fabric. ![uimg 9605](https://info.furnitureconsignment.com/hs-fs/file-15662096-jpg/images/uimg_9605.jpg?width=253&height=197&name=uimg_9605.jpg) She ordered the table direct from Eldred Wheeler and 8 months later her perfectly matched, tiger maple double pedestal small dining table finally arrived. After a few months of trying to get used to the gorgeous set, she and her husband could not eat a relaxing meal at the table. Too worried they would harm the table, they just could not enjoy it and decided to sell it for something more low key. The excellent pricing combined with the immediate satisfaction of being able to avoid the long lead times to have an Eldred Wheeler product made especially for you, makes this set very attractive.[ The table is priced at $4,800 ](http://www.furnitureconsignment.com/product/14014-46617eldredwheelerdiningtable.php)and [the chairs for $4,000](http://www.furnitureconsignment.com/product/14022-46627setof6eldredwheelerchairs.php). ![uimg 9610](https://info.furnitureconsignment.com/hs-fs/file-15662229-jpg/images/uimg_9610.jpg?width=284&height=222&name=uimg_9610.jpg) You can find beautiful hand made, reproduction furniture such as this Eldred Wheeler dining set in our Furniture Consignment Gallery in Hanover, MA and in our newest Furniture Consignment Gallery in Chestnut Hill.         0 Comments [Click here to read/write comments](https://info.furnitureconsignment.com/furniture-spotlight/bid/80608/Eldred-Wheeler-Dining-Room#comments-listing) Topics: [Furniture Consignment Boston](https://info.furnitureconsignment.com/furniture-spotlight/topic/furniture-consignment-boston), [Furniture Consignment Hanover](https://info.furnitureconsignment.com/furniture-spotlight/topic/furniture-consignment-hanover), [Furniture Consignment Gallery in Hanover](https://info.furnitureconsignment.com/furniture-spotlight/topic/furniture-consignment-gallery-in-hanover), [Eldred Wheeler](https://info.furnitureconsignment.com/furniture-spotlight/topic/eldred-wheeler), [Furniture Consignment](https://info.furnitureconsignment.com/furniture-spotlight/topic/furniture-consignment), [Dining Room Set](https://info.furnitureconsignment.com/furniture-spotlight/topic/dining-room-set), [Tiger Maple](https://info.furnitureconsignment.com/furniture-spotlight/topic/tiger-maple), [Furniture History](https://info.furnitureconsignment.com/furniture-spotlight/topic/furniture-history) ## [Tiger Maple Major Dunlap High Boy](https://info.furnitureconsignment.com/furniture-spotlight/bid/76043/Tiger-Maple-Major-Dunlap-High-Boy) Posted by Jay Frucci on Sat, March 17, 2012 @ 05: 14 AM - [Tweet](https://twitter.com/share) ![uimg 0314](https://info.furnitureconsignment.com/hs-fs/file-15644857-jpg/images/uimg_0314.jpg?width=263&height=205&name=uimg_0314.jpg)Early American reproduction furniture is a house favorite at Furniture consignment Gallery. This Tiger Maple Dunlap High Boy by Eldred Wheeler is the nicest piece of furniture in our showroom right now so we had to make it our Piece of the Week before it travels to its next destination. Inspired from an original work that was crafted by Major John Dunlap in the late 1700s, this piece has some amazing features. First there is a beautiful scrolled carving at the bottom of the highboy of pinwheels and the fan which is a tell tale sign of a Dunlap piece. The hardware has a nice aged patina and the dove tail cross bar which runs under each drawer is a sign of the wonderful craftsmanship of Eldred Wheeler. ![uimg 0320](https://info.furnitureconsignment.com/hs-fs/file-15644959-jpg/images/uimg_0320.jpg?width=269&height=210&name=uimg_0320.jpg) Dunlap was a Northern New England craftsman who used the indigenous maple trees in New Hampshire to craft his furniture. He must have been quite lucky as many of his original creations are made from tiger maple and maple trees that produce the tiger stripes are not identifiable unless they are first cut down. This chest is 80" tall and that is a bit comical given that the average height of an average American in the late 1700s was 5'8". Not even today's taller generations could see into the top drawers without a step stool. This is a wonderful reproduction piece of furniture. The finish is full of life and the construction is bar none. You [can enjoy it in your home for $5,799 ](http://www.furnitureconsignment.com/product/12335-27396ewtigermaplehighboy.php?PHPSESSID=15e35140283e7e5c2a33015971541abe)and you can find many other wonderful pieces of furniture at our consignment furniture showrooms in Hanover, MA and in Chestnut Hill, MA. 0 Comments [Click here to read/write comments](https://info.furnitureconsignment.com/furniture-spotlight/bid/76043/Tiger-Maple-Major-Dunlap-High-Boy#comments-listing) Topics: [Furniture Consignment Boston](https://info.furnitureconsignment.com/furniture-spotlight/topic/furniture-consignment-boston), [Furniture Consignment Hanover](https://info.furnitureconsignment.com/furniture-spotlight/topic/furniture-consignment-hanover), [Furniture Consignment Newton](https://info.furnitureconsignment.com/furniture-spotlight/topic/furniture-consignment-newton), [Furniture quality](https://info.furnitureconsignment.com/furniture-spotlight/topic/furniture-quality), [Furniture Consignment Gallery in Hanover](https://info.furnitureconsignment.com/furniture-spotlight/topic/furniture-consignment-gallery-in-hanover), [Eldred Wheeler](https://info.furnitureconsignment.com/furniture-spotlight/topic/eldred-wheeler), [Furniture Consignment](https://info.furnitureconsignment.com/furniture-spotlight/topic/furniture-consignment), [Furniture Style](https://info.furnitureconsignment.com/furniture-spotlight/topic/furniture-style), [Furniture Consignment Gallery Newton](https://info.furnitureconsignment.com/furniture-spotlight/topic/furniture-consignment-gallery-newton), [Furniture Spotlight](https://info.furnitureconsignment.com/furniture-spotlight/topic/furniture-spotlight), [Furniture Care](https://info.furnitureconsignment.com/furniture-spotlight/topic/furniture-care), [Tiger Maple](https://info.furnitureconsignment.com/furniture-spotlight/topic/tiger-maple), [Furniture History](https://info.furnitureconsignment.com/furniture-spotlight/topic/furniture-history) ## [Pre Owned Harden Furniture Queen Anne Dining Set](https://info.furnitureconsignment.com/furniture-spotlight/bid/70480/Pre-Owned-Harden-Furniture-Queen-Anne-Dining-Set) Posted by Jay Frucci on Fri, November 11, 2011 @ 06: 38 AM - [Tweet](https://twitter.com/share) ![g1ey0jvj](https://info.furnitureconsignment.com/hs-fs/file-15637922-jpg/images/g1ey0jvj.jpg?width=265&height=207&name=g1ey0jvj.jpg)Kudos to Harden Furniture for hanging in there through the hardest of times. The last decade has been brutal on the furniture industry, one that the industry, over the course of time, would like to forget. The economy has put many furniture companies out of business and has many others holding on by a thread. Harden has also experienced difficulties and has experienced some pain, but they have persevered. Never wavering from their principals of good construction, good design while staying true to its American routes; they are suddenly finding themselves well positioned for the future. [You may recall ABC's special series "Made in America" where Harden Furniture was featured](http://abcnews.go.com/WNT/video/made-america-harden-furniture-13037966). We followed up with our own blog on the topic ["Thoughts on ABC's Made in America"](https://info.furnitureconsignment.com/bid/55093/Thoughts-on-ABC-s-Made-in-America) that also gained national interest. So we thought that it is only right that as we approach the Thanksgiving Holiday, one of America's finest traditions, that we feature one of our favorite sets in our showroom right now, made by one of our favorite American manufacturers. [This Harden solid Queen Anne cherry dining room table has 2 leaves and 6 chairs](http://www.furnitureconsignment.com/product/10588-24391hardenqueenannediningset.php). It is is in pristine condition from the upholstered cushions to the table top. This set will endure many family dinners and is structurally sound enough that it could be passed to other generations.  That is not an easy claim to make in today's world of disposable furniture. We are selling this set for $1,999.99.  This is several thousand dollars below the retail price, but it still has excellent resale value. You can find quality furniture like this made by American manufacturers such as Eldred Wheeler and DR Dimes at Furniture Consignment Gallery in Hanover, MA and our newest Newton MA, Furniture Consignment store that services Boston, Brookline, Wellesley and Weston. 0 Comments [Click here to read/write comments](https://info.furnitureconsignment.com/furniture-spotlight/bid/70480/Pre-Owned-Harden-Furniture-Queen-Anne-Dining-Set#comments-listing) Topics: [DR Dimes](https://info.furnitureconsignment.com/furniture-spotlight/topic/dr-dimes), [Eldred Wheeler](https://info.furnitureconsignment.com/furniture-spotlight/topic/eldred-wheeler), [Harden Furniture](https://info.furnitureconsignment.com/furniture-spotlight/topic/harden-furniture), [American Made Furniture](https://info.furnitureconsignment.com/furniture-spotlight/topic/american-made-furniture) ## [Eldred Wheeler Desk and Cannonball Bed](https://info.furnitureconsignment.com/furniture-spotlight/bid/69496/Eldred-Wheeler-Desk-and-Cannonball-Bed) Posted by Jay Frucci on Sat, October 15, 2011 @ 06: 33 AM - [Tweet](https://twitter.com/share)   ![no7gel02](https://info.furnitureconsignment.com/hs-fs/file-15641181-jpg/images/no7gel02.jpg?width=253&height=198&name=no7gel02.jpg)  We have two pieces in our inventory featuring the name of local favorite manufacturer [Eldred Wheeler](http://www.eldredwheeler.com/library-desk.php).  Eldred Wheeler pieces specialize in either cherry or tiger maple woods and they pride themselves on selecting the best stock of wood that will allow for the wood grains to pop through their classic finish.  That is certainly true with this ![uimg 7102](https://info.furnitureconsignment.com/hs-fs/file-15657134-jpg/images/uimg_7102.jpg?width=191&height=149&name=uimg_7102.jpg) cherry library desk that has excellent drawer construction. The working surface area is very large and features a distinct cherry wood grain that is quite nice.
