This is a very solid sofa as the bones within it are extraordinary.  It has a lot of hand carving and the wood is crotch mahogany.  It has had some repair work which is typical of apiece of it's age with delicate carvings, but the repair work is well done so only a trained eye would notice.  It has likely been reupholstered several times and could be reupholstered again.  This is[ sofa is $2,250 and would go beautifully in an antique home](http://www.furnitureconsignment.com/product/7748-21801antiquemahoganysofa.php), a Victorian or Boston Tudor.     [" title=" " target="_blank">  ](http://%3Cobject%20width="480"%20height="390"%3E%3Cparam%20name="movie"%20value="http://www.youtube.com/v/P1aYZEer7kk?fs=1&hl=en_US"%3E%3C/param%3E%3Cparam%20name="allowFullScreen"%20value="true"%3E%3C/param%3E%3Cparam%20name="allowscriptaccess"%20value="always"%3E%3C/param%3E%3Cembed%20src="http://www.youtube.com/v/P1aYZEer7kk?fs=1&hl=en_US"%20type="application/x-shockwave-flash"%20allowscriptaccess="always"%20allowfullscreen="true"%20width="480"%20height="390"%3E%3C/embed%3E%3C/object%3E) [**Also follow us at:** ](http://twitter.com/#%21/greatfurniture)[![facebook icon](https://info.furnitureconsignment.com/hs-fs/file-15636168-png/images/facebook.png?width=49&height=49&name=facebook.png)](https://www.facebook.com/pages/Furniture-Consignment-Gallery/252217738875)[![17213252451444474183](https://info.furnitureconsignment.com/hs-fs/file-15629560-png/images/17213252451444474183.png?width=48&height=48&name=17213252451444474183.png)](http://www.youtube.com/user/GreatFurniture)[![twitter icon](https://info.furnitureconsignment.com/hs-fs/file-15644352-jpg/images/twitter.jpg?width=53&height=53&name=twitter.jpg)](https://twitter.com/#%21/jfrucci) [" title=" " target="_blank"> ](http://%3Cobject%20width="480"%20height="390"%3E%3Cparam%20name="movie"%20value="http://www.youtube.com/v/P1aYZEer7kk?fs=1&hl=en_US"%3E%3C/param%3E%3Cparam%20name="allowFullScreen"%20value="true"%3E%3C/param%3E%3Cparam%20name="allowscriptaccess"%20value="always"%3E%3C/param%3E%3Cembed%20src="http://www.youtube.com/v/P1aYZEer7kk?fs=1&hl=en_US"%20type="application/x-shockwave-flash"%20allowscriptaccess="always"%20allowfullscreen="true"%20width="480"%20height="390"%3E%3C/embed%3E%3C/object%3E) 0 Comments [Click here to read/write comments](https://info.furnitureconsignment.com/furniture-spotlight/bid/56921/Antique-Mahogany-Queen-Anne-Sofa-Piece-of-the-Week#comments-listing) Topics: [Sofa](https://info.furnitureconsignment.com/furniture-spotlight/topic/sofa), [Antique furniture](https://info.furnitureconsignment.com/furniture-spotlight/topic/antique-furniture), [Rolled arms](https://info.furnitureconsignment.com/furniture-spotlight/topic/rolled-arms), [circa 1870-1890](https://info.furnitureconsignment.com/furniture-spotlight/topic/circa-1870-1890), [Furniture Consignment](https://info.furnitureconsignment.com/furniture-spotlight/topic/furniture-consignment), [carved mahogany](https://info.furnitureconsignment.com/furniture-spotlight/topic/carved-mahogany) [All posts](https://info.furnitureconsignment.com/furniture-spotlight/all)       ![](https://info.furnitureconsignment.com/hs-fs/hubfs/Evergreen%20Images/jay-45.jpg?width=200&name=jay-45.jpg "jay-45.jpg") Jay Frucci, President and Owner, Furniture Consignment Gallery [**Back to Blog Home**](https://info.furnitureconsignment.com/) ### Latest Posts **View [All Posts](https://info.furnitureconsignment.com/all)** Search this site on Google Search Google ### Subscribe by Email ### Follow Me --- **HANOVER** 756 Washington St. (Rt. 53) Hanover, MA 02339 Phone: 781-826-5114 Fax: 781-829-9805   Sunday: 12-5 Monday-Saturday: 10-6 **NATICK**  104 Worcester St. (Rt. 9 East) Natick, MA 01760 Phone: 508-319-5600 Fax: 508-319-5601   Sunday: 11-5 Monday-Saturday: 10-6 **PLYMOUTH** 762 State Rd.
