They offered reasonably priced furniture with solid craftsmanship and construction. Many of their cherry and maple pieces produced in that time frame still have resale value provided that the condition is good. Pennsylvania House left behind many satisfied customers from that furniture period and there are folks who are still in search of a nightstand or a dresser to compliment an existing set. This week, our Piece of The Week, is this solid cherry queen canopy bed which was likely made in the late 1970s or early 1980s. ![0uimg 0621](https://info.furnitureconsignment.com/hs-fs/file-15627578-jpg/images/0uimg_0621.jpg?width=281&height=219&name=0uimg_0621.jpg) It is a bit colonial and would look really nice set  up in an Antique Queen Anne style home. The canopy is not too large and the bed as a whole would blend quite well with various types of other furniture such as pine, mahogany, tiger maple, etc. For New England home owners who like to combine 18th Century American reproduction furniture with pieces made in the 20th Century, this bed should have much appeal. [The Pennsylvania House Canopy Queen Bed is item number 2-3448 in our inventory and is currnetly $799.99.](http://www.furnitureconsignment.com/product/10714-23448pennsylvaniahousecanopybed.php) You can find beautiful 18th Century reproduction furniture such as this bed in our Furniture Consignment Store in Hanover, MA as well as in our Furniture Consignment Gallery in Newton, MA which services customers who love shopping for consignment furniture in Wellesley, Weston, and Brookline.   0 Comments [Click here to read/write comments](https://info.furnitureconsignment.com/furniture-spotlight/bid/73909/Pennsylvania-House-Queen-Canopy-Bed#comments-listing) Topics: [Ethan Allen](https://info.furnitureconsignment.com/furniture-spotlight/topic/ethan-allen), [Cherry Queen Bedroom Set](https://info.furnitureconsignment.com/furniture-spotlight/topic/cherry-queen-bedroom-set), [Pennsylvania House](https://info.furnitureconsignment.com/furniture-spotlight/topic/pennsylvania-house), [American Made Furniture](https://info.furnitureconsignment.com/furniture-spotlight/topic/american-made-furniture), [Nichols & Stone](https://info.furnitureconsignment.com/furniture-spotlight/topic/nichols-stone) ## [Queen size Bedroom Sets are our Deals of the Week](https://info.furnitureconsignment.com/furniture-spotlight/bid/62560/Queen-size-Bedroom-Sets-are-our-Deals-of-the-Week) Posted by Jay Frucci on Sat, July 23, 2011 @ 06: 53 AM - [Tweet](https://twitter.com/share) Quality Queen size bedroom sets are the hardest items to find on consignment because there are not too many people looking to sell them. A Queen size bedroom set is generally something that you live with for a good part of your life.  Many of the queen sets that are offered to us are older, very worn and very dated.  We don't accept those sets into our showroom. It is unusual for us to have several queen bedroom sets and at the moment we have many sets priced under $2,000.  If you are looking for a quality constructed, good looking queen bedroom set, that is a great deal then you have caught us at the right time.  In this week's "Deal of the Week" video blog, Jay highlights some of these very nice sets. ![0uimg 9166](https://info.furnitureconsignment.com/hs-fs/file-15628769-jpg/images/0uimg_9166.jpg?width=246&height=192&name=0uimg_9166.jpg)The first set is this [Arbek Queen Bedroom set ](http://www.furnitureconsignment.com/product/8061-22171arbekmaplequeenbedroomset.php)which has many pieces.  The quality construction is only fair, but it has a lot of functional pieces and is in really good shape. The set features a queen bed, tall chest, mirror, media cabinet, a dresser and a nightstand. It is priced at $699.     ![0uimg 7584](https://info.furnitureconsignment.com/hs-fs/file-15628412-jpg/images/0uimg_7584.jpg?width=202&height=158&name=0uimg_7584.jpg)   Second, we have an Ethan Allen Cherry Bedroom set that has a Queen SLeigh bed, Dresser with mirror, lingerie chest and 2 nightstands. It is [item number 2274-9](http://www.furnitureconsignment.com/product/8809-22749ethanallenbedroomset.php) in our inventory. This set is very nice. The tops of the nightstands and dresser have a few blotches from nail polish and normal use, but otherwise is in good shape.  If the tops are bothersome, we can have them refinished for you for not a lot of money. Either way, the set is an excellent price at $1,599.99  ![uimg 7117](https://info.furnitureconsignment.com/hs-fs/file-15657245-jpg/images/uimg_7117.jpg?width=201&height=157&name=uimg_7117.jpg)  How about this Tommy Bahama Lexington Furniture set?  It offers a Queen Bed, Triple Dresser, mirror and a nightstand.  This is[ item number 2296-11 ](http://www.furnitureconsignment.com/product/8701-229611tommybahamabedroomset.php)in our inventory. This set is in excellent condition and is perfect for a summer home.  The price is also very good at $1,999.99.      In addition to these three queen bedroom sets, we have many queen bed options in our Furniture Consignment Showroom in Hanover, MA and in our newest Furniture Consignment Gallery in Newton, MA. In the feature, a family in Dallas, TX volunteered to fore go all foreign made product in their home and received replacement items that are made in America. One of the companies that was selected to provide replacement furniture was [Vaughn Basset Furniture ](http://www.vaughan-bassett.com/)which is 99% made in America.  Vaughn Bassett is in the midrange in the marketplace and is made from mostly solid wood. This particular set is constructed of many solid pieces of cherry wood which is very good compared to the imports, that sell at the same price point, where most of the composition is an engineered wood. This is a very handsome set consisting of Queen Bed with solid cherry and a scrolled iron top, a wardrobe chest with a door, shelving and a nightstand. This set is an excellent value selling on consignment at[ Furniture Consignment Gallery](http://www.furnitureconsignment.com/index.php) in Hanover, MA at $899.
