Gat Creek Cherry Dining Set --Piece of the Week!

Posted by Jay Frucci on Sat, July 23, 2011 @ 06: 35 AM

uimg 0282furniture with Shaker influences is one of our favorite types of furniture. Plain, but durable, and built with care.  It is common for a craftsman who works for Gat Creek to write a customer a letter introducing themselves to let them know he will be building their furniture. And when the project is complete, the same craftsman signs the furniture.  That is a very personal and a nice touch.

This particular set is item number 2369-5 in our inventory and has ten chairs and four leaves and it is in excellent condition. The construction is very good.  The chairs should hold up very well and the table is durable enough to be used at dinner every night without a table cloth. Gat Creek can be found in some of the furniture discount warehouse stores, but it would be the high end for them so it is really good furniture. We are selling this set for $2,999.99 which is an excellent price!

Furniture Consignment Gallery in Hanover has many excellent pieces as does our newest Furniture Consignment Gallery in Newton's Chestnut Hill Village. Between our two showrooms, we offer New England's finest furniture on consignment.

Deal of the Week- French Oak Dining Set

Posted by Jay Frucci on Sat, June 25, 2011 @ 07: 10 AM

uimg 8003This large, solid oak, French Country Dining set is our Deal of the Week at our Furniture Consignment Gallery in Hanover, MA. It is item number 48-2328 in our inventory. Priced at $1,800, with 10 chairs, this set is an incredible value. Breaking the costs down to $180 per chair, the table is essentially a throw in.  Shop anywhere and it is hard to find this kind of value even in the furniture discount stores. Not to be confused, however, this is not a discount set. This is solid furniture built in the 1950s. It has been refinished and the chairs are solid.describe the image

The table extends 119.5" when fully extended which includes (3) 31.5" leaves. This is quite a set for the money.0uimg 8007

In addition, what we really like about this set is its ability to blend with various kinds of woods.  In our showroom we have it positioned near a blond mahogany Thomasville hutch and it is opposite a darker mahogany English Server. This set offers a lot of flexibility for seating and decorating. We think it is a great deal!

And tell Nick to Eat his Sandwich in the break room.  You'll have to watch the video to see.
