This solid maple Pompanoosuc bedroom set is an extreme bargain on consignment! From the exterior this set appears to be an average bedroom set, but handcrafted American made furniture made from all solid North American hardwoods, is expensive! It doesn't need to look fancy to be beautiful.
To purchase this set new would cost over $10,000. The craftsmanship is outstanding. We like this set because it is very versatile as it serves a purpose for each stage in life. It would be great in a master bedroom suite or in a second home. It would make a great gift for a couple just starting out in their first home.

Rock maple dressers are our favorite choice for bedrooms for people from ages zero to 100. That's right they are perfect for all ages. For kids rooms, these are a great fit. They are durable, rock solid and can take all of the abuse that you can throw at it. As your kids grow, these pieces can travel with them to their dorm room, to their first house and then onto their kids rooms. These pieces are that tough and they look that good that you will never want to let them go. They are even a perfect fit for senior housing complexes. These chests serve the entire circle of life. They are less money than you can buy a fancy looking chest at the new furniture stores. Solid maple dressers from the 1950s, are better built, still look great and will outlast all of us. We have maple dressers from $350-$700.
Four poster beds were once a symbol of a man's wealth. Fancy beds and the dressings that cover the canopy and the openings indicated the social status and the financial strength of the man. In today's world, hardly anyone uses the canopy tops anymore, but they are still nice even if the curtain dressings are not utilized.
Four poster beds are readily available for all persons from various econmic backgrounds and so they are no longer a symbol of wealth. However, there are differences in today's four poster beds most of which boil down to personal preference.
Some folks like a bigger, bolder poster that fills the room, while others like a poster that is sleeker and more elegant. Sometimes more is less and somteimes more is, well...more.
We have noticed that homeowners who appreciate color and design work would rather see less of the dark wood so that the eyes focus on beautiful fabrics on window treatments, bed dressings and the wall coverings. While others want to see the wood work.
There is no right or wrong, only personal prefernce. And the great thing about Furniture Consignment Gallery is that we have many wonderful four poster beds to choose from at the moment. We have a nice, bold, turned black King 4 Poster bed or a beautiful Teak, canopy, king bed that has rustic, elegant posters and a canopy top. A larger and more brawny Thomasville 4 poster king bed and a lovely Hickory Chair canopy King four poster bed. There are also two four poster beds in Chestnut Hill one that is a Queen and another that is a King.
With many four poster beds to choose from, this a great time to make a nice addition to you home. All of these beds are of excellent quality and craftsmanship.
This is one of our favorite beds that we have seen in a long, long time. Though this is a big bed, it does help to maximize the space in the bedroom as the sleigh does not extend too far out. This way you can press the headboard almost flush against the wall. Most sleigh beds have an arched back and as a result you have to alot for more square footage in the bedroom as the bed protrudes further into the room.
The footbaord sits below the mattress line and also has very little arch so again it offers more space in the room.
The design tapers out towards the bottom of the bed for a very sleek and modern look. We really like the look of this bed as it is very sleek and sexy, yet it is able to blend in with the more traditional chests and accent pieces. This Henredon bed is a very good value and can be had for a very good price at $1,499.

These sleeper love seats are hard to find on the resale market. This was an excellent idea to make this two seater love seat a sleeper as it is completely functional. The mocrosuede is easy to clean and the sleeper mechanism is so easy to operate. So much so that in seconds, this love seat can accomodate the kids' friends for an evening. It is comfortable and it looks good. And it is a pretty good deal at $699. That is why it is our Deal of the
Week!

You won't see this very often. You certainly wouldn't guess that this chest of drawers was made by Drexel Heritage. This piece is one of a kind as the original construction is a 1940s Drexle Mahaongy chest. It was a very common piece and one of Drexel's best sellers in its' day. But it didn't look like this. This chest of drawers was re-built by a furniture hobbiest. The bones
of the piece are of the original circa 1940s piece, but the veneer work is all new. The veneers were constructed by a first generation Italian craftsman who built by hand an inlaid satin starburst on the surface top. He crafted keyhole accents from genuine ivory and designed a hand cut a satin banded inlay that outlines each of the drawers. The reconstruction process took months of detailed work and the result is a masterpiece. A
masterpiece of craftsmanship and creativity that belongs in a good home to someone who values this refinished, repurposed and reconstructed Drexel Heritage 1940s chest of drawers.

Your Master Bedroom is one of the most expensive areas in your home to outfit with furniture. Couples will often live with their first bedroom set for as long as they are married. The reason for this is that a quality, high end bedroom set can cost more than $20,000. When families are just getting started or are buying a new home, spending that kind of money is not an option. At some point, however, if life and careers are moving in a healthy direction, many couples will choose to upgrade their master bedroom. The great news is that you still don't have to break the bank and you don't have to shop at the discount furniture warehouses to stay within your budget.
You can get a beautiful high end king bedroom set on consignment for thousands less than they sell for new. We currently have this amazing Harden, natural cherry bedroom set which features a lovely ladies dresser with mirror, pair of nightstands, and king bed for $1,999. You can add the high boy for $1,000 and still stay under $3,000 for a gorgeous set that would cost nearly $15,000 if you purchased it new.
This set is sold out of the Boston Design Center and is imported from France. The attention to detail and the amazing finish is a trademark of Grange. This set includes the King bed, armoire, ladies dresser and pair of nightstands. If you purchased this set new, the price tag would run over $20,000. Our price at Furniture Consignment Gallery is $4,500.

In today's market, you can buy a bedroom set for your master bedroom for $999 at a discount furniture warehouse. However, if you want a nice set that will last, that has style and good quality; your price range is more likely to fall between $5,000 - $20,000.
