Mahogany Chippendale Dining Table with 10 Chairs

 Custom built in the late 1940s this solid mahogany dining table has enough leaves and chairs to seat your neighborhood for a feast. This set is currently priced at $7,200This set is currently priced at $7,200and that is a bargain! The chairs alone could sell for more than $10,000 and the table by itself could fetch $4,000 or more.

Though there is no name brand associated with this set, it has all indications that it is very well made. The carved outer edge of the table and the banded inlay are quite nice and add some uniqueness to the set.

The set has been refinished, but could be finished again if a different tone and gloss is preferred. The pedestal bases are quite amazing as they boast a solid mahogany ball and claw that is over sized and hand carved. These types of sets are hard to find and this one is a great deal!

Outdoor Furniture Set "Piece of the Week"

It may not seem to be the time of year to begin thinking about your pool patio deck, but time is flying! As the month of February has the feel of Spring in the air, maybe we'll be treated to an early and extended summer.

Outdoor furniture sets are a substantial investment if you choose to go with good quality and design. That is why, even thought we are still in the dead of winter, we made this great cast aluminum outdoor set our Piece of the Week.

Our logic is that it is hard to come by quality pre-owned outdoor furniture sets.

Most of the sets that are offered to us have been well weathered and are not very appealing. Others are rusted, have mildew or have faded quite a bit. But this set is none of those things. It has been well cared for and has many pieces including a glider, swivvel rocker, coffee table, end table, three seat sofa, table with

four chairs two umbrellas and a chaise lounge.

If your patio set is in need of replacement, we would recommend checking this set out. It is a great value and you may need it sooner than we all think should the weather continue to stay ahead of its normal schedule.

Furniture Spotlight Deal of the week: Mahogany Twin Beds

This week we shine our Furniture Spotlight on a pair of mahogany twin beds with hand carved, pineapple tops.  The beds are item number 348-203 in our inventory. These beds are made from solid mahogany and are circa 1920s.  They have been recently refinished with a dark mahogany stain.  The price of the beds just dropped to their final markdown price and are now being sold at $700 for the pair.  This is way below market value!  Consider that a new twin bed at a furniture store that sells quality furniture would sell for between $400 - $700 for a single twin bed.  Yet this pair of beds, which is of greater quality and substance than most beds you can find in the marketplace, are being sold for $700 for the pair or for $350 each.  This is why we made these beds our Deal of The Week.  Watch the video as Jay explains.

Furniture Spotlight: Jeweler's Workbench converted to Kitchen Island

This week we selected a Jeweler's workbench which has been converted into a Kitchen Island as our Furniture Spotlight, Piece of the Week. This piece is item number 2113-1 in our inventory and is selling for $2,999.  This kitchen island features reclaimed wood and parts from an old Jeweler's workbench.   The 3 inch thick solid oak wood working surface has plenty of beauty marks from years of use. We estimate the age of the original table to be between 80 to 100 years old.  Easily identifiable are the areas where the vices and several other tools were used.  

Added onto the piece recently are a stainless steel wrapped shelf under the workbench, casters, faux paint on the interior and exterior and a bar top which protrudes out to accommodate bar stool seating. There is plenty of room for additional customizations such as changing the faux paint or replacing the bar top with granite that matches your counter tops instead of the stainless shelf. Furniture Spotlight Debuts with our Deal of the Week

We begin our Deal of the Week blog by shining our Furniture Spotlight on a painted metal bed that is really a great deal.  This bed is item number 2081-11 in our inventory and is selling for $270!  This metal bed is faux painted, with scroll work and is very solid.  It is a quality piece of furniture that has some weight to it and will not shake when the dog jumps on the bed.  As Jay mentions in the video, there is nothing worse than a shaky bed.  

We are big fans of metal beds because they are very versatile as you can position it with all different types of furniture and they do a nice job showcasing your bedding.  Watch as Jay describes why we selected this bed as our Deal of the Week.
