Some folks like to have desk storage on either side in the form of what is referred to as pedestals on a desk. However, in today's world of labtops and tablets, there is less of a need for deep drawers. ![0uimg 0073](https://info.furnitureconsignment.com/hs-fs/file-15627141-jpg/images/0uimg_0073.jpg?width=260&height=203&name=0uimg_0073.jpg) It is also really nice to be able to roll your chair from one side of the desk to the other without interference. So I'm really trying to sell this desk here, but here is the thing: this desk is beautiful and it is only $549.99. This desk has a nice mahogany top, has been recently refinished and the three drawers are all functional. The desk also has nice brass hardware and pretty wood carvings to trim out the edges and the legs. It really is a server, but could be used in so many other ways because it is very beautiful and offers a lot of functional storage. Most important is the stunning contrast with the walnut inlaid deep drawers on the top and the crotch mahogany veneered doors. We love the wood knobs as it adds a lot of masculinity to the piece. As the month of February has the feel of Spring in the air, maybe we'll be treated to an early and extended summer. Outdoor furniture sets are a substantial investment if you choose to go with good quality and design. That is why, even thought we are still in the dead of winter, we made this great cast aluminum outdoor set our Piece of the Week. Our logic is that it is hard to come by quality pre-owned outdoor furniture sets. ![uimg 8461](https://info.furnitureconsignment.com/hs-fs/file-15660088-jpg/images/uimg_8461.jpg?width=283&height=221&name=uimg_8461.jpg) Most of the sets that are offered to us have been well weathered and are not very appealing. Others are rusted, have mildew or have faded quite a bit. But this set is none of those things. There are so many beautiful homes in Massachusetts's that were designed to hold furniture like these pieces. This week we feature a classic cherry hutch and a dining table with (2) leaves and (4) chairs. These wonderful reproduction pieces were made by Nichols & Stone a furniture manufacturer that was a leader in the community and in its field. In fact, Nichols & Stone once had a towering presence in the town of Gardner Massachusetts where the very best early American Furniture was produced for the better part of the twentieth century. What separates Nichols and Stone from the pack is the finish, the top quality craftsmanship and attention to detail. Though this is a big bed, it does help to maximize the space in the bedroom as the sleigh does not extend too far out. This way you can press the headboard almost flush against the wall. Most sleigh beds have an arched back and as a result you have to alot for more square footage in the bedroom as the bed protrudes further into the room. The footbaord sits below the mattress line and also has very little arch so again it offers more space in the room. ![1uimg 5524](https://info.furnitureconsignment.com/hs-fs/file-15629957-jpg/images/1uimg_5524.jpg?width=308&height=240&name=1uimg_5524.jpg) The design tapers out towards the bottom of the bed for a very sleek and modern look. We really like the look of this bed as it is very sleek and sexy, yet it is able to blend in with the more traditional chests and accent pieces. [This Henredon bed is a very good value](http://www.furnitureconsignment.com/product/11527-26382hendredonkingsleighbed.php) and can be had for a very good price at $1,499.
